Why did you choose Admin?
I have a background in Finance and I love numbers, however when I moved from Sydney to Brisbane 11 years ago, I knew I needed a change and I was lucky enough to land a job in Admin for a very large and busy Physio Clinic. When the opportunity arose to work at Newport Physio and Health I jumped at the chance. I am a people person and I quickly realised that this was the right career path for me moving forward. I love helping people and I have a strong focus on customer service.
What do you love about working at Newport Physio and Health?
Definitely the people. We have the best team at Newport Physio & Health and we all get along so well. All of our patients are so lovely too. We have a great working relationship with many other businesses within the beautiful Newport Marketplace. Living in Newport also has its advantages as I can get my steps up walking to and from work!
Tell us about a couple of your hobbies?
When I am not at the Clinic you can find me most afternoons after I finish work at UBX Gym in Newport (if you haven’t tried UBX give it a go – it’s awesome)!. I love to keep myself as fit and healthy as possible. On weekends I enjoy hanging out with my husband and dog and catching up with family and friends. In summer you can find me relaxing by the pool at home with a good book.
What is a funny story that not many people would know about you?
A funny story for others but not so much for me…. tripping over whilst crossing at the lights at one of the biggest intersections in Sydney after my “at the time very fashionable” pointy toed high heel shoe got caught in the hem of my work pants. Luckily people came to my aid to help me up. This happened well over 20 years ago and it still makes me cringe when I think about it.
